It seemed a natural death that of Giuseppe Calcagno, found lifeless in the prison of Caltagirone, in the province of Catania, on January 31st. Months later, however, the turning point arrives: the inmate was killed, strangled in his sleep.

The person responsible, according to the Prosecutor's Office, was his cellmate who was arrested by the carabinieri following the order of the investigating judge at the request of the Prosecutor Giuseppe Verzera and the substitute Samuela Maria Lo Martire.

To arrive at this conclusion were the results of the legal medical examinations.
