The bodies of a German married couple , who stayed for a long time in Tuscany, were discovered in their home in Boccheggiano (Grosseto).

For days, the son was no longer able to contact them from Germany. The man was 82 years old, his wife 72. According to the first reconstructions, carbon monoxide fumes could have caused the death of the two. The bodies, in an advanced state of decomposition, were found in the kitchen . The Grosseto prosecutor ordered the autopsies. The police are investigating the case. There are no signs of violence, but no hypothesis is excluded.

The couple had bought a farm in the Montieri area, in the area known for the Boccheggiano mines. He usually stayed in the house in the summer months. In addition to their son, the neighboring owners, who knew them, had also contacted the police because the two elders did not answer the phone.
