The Rome Prosecutor's Office has asked for 8 years for the former president of the Chamber, Gianfranco Fini, accused in the trial linked to the purchase of an apartment in Monte Carlo . Requested 9 years for his partner Elisabetta Tulliani. The prosecutor also requested a 10-year sentence for Giancarlo Tulliani and 5 years for his father Sergio. The proceeding is also proceeding with the crime of money laundering.

"I hid my brother's desire to buy the house in Monte Carlo from Gianfranco Fini," Elisabetta Tulliani said during the hearing. Adding: «I never told Fini the origin of that money which I was convinced was my brother's. My brother's unscrupulous behavior represents one of the greatest disappointments of my life. I hope that with this statement I have provided an element towards arriving at the truth."

After prosecutor Fini's request he commented: «It was obvious that the public prosecution would ask for a conviction, I continue to have faith in justice and this is due to my complete ignorance of what was charged against me».
