In an attempt to escape police capture, he climbed out of a window and onto the ledge of a hotel, but fell from the third floor and was seriously injured.

It happened near the train station in Trieste.

This is an Albanian citizen, aged 30, who was rescued and taken to Cattinara hospital, under code red.

According to an initial reconstruction, the man had registered at the hotel, but - as his name was already known to the police - the alarm was raised and the officers showed up on site.

At that point the 30-year-old tried to escape, climbing onto the ledge of the building, and then falling below, onto a car.

From what we understand, an expulsion warrant from the national territory was pending against him.
