He threw his daughter from the terrace , then attempted suicide .
It happened in Cinto Caomaggiore (Venice). The man - separated from his wife - had fostered the 5-year-old girl for the Christmas holidays .
The little girl remained conscious , but was urgently transported by helicopter to Treviso hospital due to head trauma. The father remained unharmed and was arrested for attempted murder.
