A 38-year-old man - Nabil Dhahri - killed his 43-year-old companion - Elisa Mulas, of Sardinian origin - the 64-year-old mother-in-law and the 5 and 2-year-old children and then took his own life. It happened in Sassuolo, in the province of Modena.

The lifeless bodies of all members of the family were found inside a house in via Manin. The murders would have been carried out with a knife.

From the first information, the murderer, of Tunisian origin but living in Italy for years, worked in a supermarket in the Emilian town.
