He kills his seriously ill wife, then takes his own life with the same gun

A 71-year-old man killed his 64-year-old wife by shooting her with a gun, then turned the gun on himself and took his own life.
The crime took place in an apartment in Altedo, in the province of Bologna.
The Carabinieri arrived on site, alerted by the nurse who was assisting the woman , who had been seriously ill for some time, and found the two bodies around 7.30am.
Investigations are underway.
