A terrible domestic accident occurred today in Sassuolo, in the Modena area.
A man was impaled on one of the iron spikes of the gate of his home after falling from the ladder he was on to prune a plant.
The 78-year-old was rescued by firefighters and since 118, he has been taken to the Baggiovara hospital and is in serious condition.
