The Milan carabinieri found the knife used by Alessandro Impagnatiello to kill Giulia Tramontano this morning. This is the weapon that the 30-year-old said he washed and placed after the murder in a knife block on top of the kitchen refrigerator.

The military also found the victim's licence, debit card and credit card . They were in a manhole in the parking lot of the Comasina subway in Milan.

It was Impagnatiello himself who said, as we read in the record of his confession, that he had thrown everything " in the same manhole where I threw the cell phone, except for the passport, which I burned the night I killed Giulia ". However, the phone has not yet been found.

Inspection, says the lawyer of the victim's relatives Giovanni Cacciapuoti , that "it will be useful to actually verify every element of the action relating also to the just contestation of the aggravating circumstances already recognized and of the others for which the Public Prosecutor's Office, like the family, rightly wants to see us clear".

"From the conduct of Impagnatiello", I confess, Giulia's family members "immediately had the impression that he was not telling the whole truth" , added the lawyer.
