A citizen of Tortolì aspires to become mayor in his adopted town. We are talking about Adriano Piras, 45, who left Ogliastra some time ago in search of fortune beyond the Tyrrhenian Sea and who is in the running for an encore in Mezzanino, in the province of Pavia.

Lead the only list ("Mezzanino in grande") in the electoral scenario of the village of 1,300 souls in the Oltrepò Pavese where we will vote tomorrow and Monday.

Profession restaurateur, in the 2018 administration Piras, who together with his wife Elena and his two children, Manuel and Maya, live in the hamlet of Tornello, had obtained 55 percent of the votes, beating his predecessor.

This time the challenger will be the quorum set at 40 percent of those entitled. Piras will have to wait until tomorrow to know the outcome of the elections: 50 percent plus one of the valid votes on the list would crown him mayor for the second time in a row.
