Four-year-old boy falls from balcony in serious condition

The four-year-old boy who fell from his balcony in Turin yesterday afternoon while playing remains in serious condition .

The accident occurred on the first floor of a building at Corso Taranto 181, on the northern outskirts of the city.

The child is admitted to the intensive care unit at Regina Margherita Hospital with a critical prognosis . He is intubated and suffered serious head and facial trauma in the fall, from more than three meters.

Regarding the dynamics of the fall, it is evident that an iron bar is missing from the balcony railing: investigations are underway to determine whether that gap caused the fall or whether the bar came loose at the moment of the fall.
