Found dead in the house, the maid confesses: "I killed him"

He was killed by domestic worker Antonio Amicucci, the 68-year-old found dead this morning in Novara at his home in the Sant'Andrea neighborhood.

The maid, 51, confessed after a few hours of interrogation: she killed him at the height of an argument, she said, hitting him with a kitchen knife several times and then escaping by pulling the door behind and hiding in a neighbor's house.

Some neighbors raised the alarm this morning, worried about the screams and noises coming from the apartment where the 68-year-old lived alone. The carabinieri and the firefighters intervened on the spot, who broke down the door regularly closed and without signs of forced entry, and the 118 rescuers, who could only ascertain the death of the 68-year-old. In the apartment there was only one dog, a 60 kilos Maremma shepherd who seems to be looking after the man during the day on behalf of some acquaintances.

After a few hours, in the presence of the prosecutor Giovanni Castellani, the confession of the domestic worker, of Albanian origins but for over twenty years in Italy. Resident in the same neighborhood, married and with children, she had worked in that house for at least three years. She was arrested in the Vercelli prison, and in the next few hours she will have to be interrogated again to understand what pushed her to such violence.
