Five young men arrested for throwing an electric bike that hit a medical student

They are held responsible for throwing a bicycle over the balustrade of Piazza Vittorio Veneto , on the Murazzi promenade in Turin.

Five very young people, two aged 18 and three minors aged between 15 and 17, were arrested by the carabinieri and charged with attempted murder .

The electric bike launched on January 21, in fact, hit a boy from Palermo - a medical student - who was passing under there. The young man remained in a confidential prognosis until February 3 and is still hospitalized in intensive care at the Turin CTO .

The investigators arrived at the five boys, four of whom with precedents, through the analysis of the numerous testimonies collected and the vision of the video surveillance cameras which made it possible to collect serious indications of responsibility against the suspects.

According to what has been reconstructed, the young people, having arrived at the Lungo Po Cadorna, after looking out from the balcony, would have taken the bike by throwing it underneath for no apparent reason . They would then have disappeared from the city center using a public bus with which they would have reached the district of origin. In the development of the investigations, the contribution provided by some young witnesses was very valuable.
