The Milan Prosecutor's Office has opened a file without any hypothesis of crime or suspects in the case of the Pandoro Balocco designed by Chiara Ferragni.

After Codacons and Assourt filed a complaint with prosecutors for fraud, prosecutor Marcello Viola assigned the file to the anti-fraud department led by deputy Eugenio Fusco.

The investigations in the exploratory file will be entrusted, as far as we know, to the Guardia di Finanza of Milan. At the moment they will concern the contents of the complaint for fraud against "a plurality of individuals", i.e. consumers, as the associations have written.

It is not excluded, however, that they could then also be extended to the similar story of the advertising of Dolci Preziosi's Easter eggs. Codacons had filed the complaint in 104 prosecutors' offices and the one in Milan was the first to open a case, as far as we know.

A question of territorial jurisdiction could arise later in the investigation: Ferragni resides in Milan while Balocco's headquarters are in the province of Cuneo .

The method of presentation of the campaign for the sale of pandoro, we read in the statement, «was found to be deceptive and aggressive, in contempt of consumers, who would have been significantly influenced in their decision-making capacity, especially in light of the destination of the proceeds to children seriously ill."
