He was rushed to hospital , but he died before the ambulance operators could entrust him to the doctors of the Pediatric Emergency Department of the University Hospital of Padua .

The victim is a 6-year-old boy from Codevigo (Padua), suffering from a respiratory crisis , which was fatal, perhaps caused by Covid-19 .

According to what is learned from the first tests, in fact, from 27 April the little one had tested positive for the Sars-CoV2 virus , following a swab carried out in Chioggia .

With the worsening of his conditions it became necessary to be transferred to the hospital in an emergency, but - as mentioned - the death occurred while the child was transported by ambulance to the Padua facility.

The parents' request for help reached the provincial operations center of 118 in the night between Friday and Saturday: when they reached the family home, the health workers found the child unconscious . Then the rush to the hospital, which was unfortunately useless.

An in- depth diagnostic test has now been requested to ascertain the causes of death.
