Alessio Terranova, chef of Casa Sanremo, died in a terrible accident on the bridge of the state road 113, on the border between Oliveri and Falcone, in the province of Messina.

The 37-year-old was traveling aboard a BMW which, for reasons yet to be ascertained, crashed into the guard rail. The impact for him was fatal while another passenger in the car, a 33-year-old, was injured and is hospitalized at the Fogliani hospital in Milazzo.

Terranova was returning from Casa Sanremo, the main studio of the cooking shows of “L'Italia in Vetrina”, with the presence of chefs and connections from all over Italy to tell the territorial gastronomic excellences.

He had cooked in the restaurant of the roof of Casa Sanremo, for the guests of the Festival, some of his traditional Sicilian dishes together with other cooks of "Emiro Oro Nero dei Nebrodi", Oliveri's gastronomic laboratory specializing in the production of rice arancini.
