Alfredo Ambrosetti, founder of the Cernobbio Forum, which this year celebrated its 51st edition at Villa d'Este on Lake Como, has died at the age of 94.

Born in Varese on June 25, 1931, Ambrosetti founded one of the first management consulting firms in Italy in Milan. In 1974, he had the vision for the Forum, and the first edition was held the following year, in 1975.

Today, half a century later, the 51st edition is in full swing: Ambrosetti was no longer directly involved in the organization, but his name remained inextricably linked to the conference.
