Catherine and Nathan, at least for the moment, are not able to do the job of father and mother .

This is what we read in the draft report filed yesterday by psychiatrist Simona Ceccoli , the expert appointed by the Juvenile Court of L'Aquila as part of the family consultancy in the Palmoli woods, who openly speaks of "parental incapacity" .

Technically, the consultants appointed by lawyers Femminella and Solinas, who are representing the couple—whose parental responsibility was suspended last November—will have to submit observations within thirty days. Ceccoli will then have another month to prepare the final report.

The most likely scenario is that a process will be initiated—it's impossible to say how long—toward reunification. The only alternative would be the termination of parental responsibility and, therefore, a declaration of adoptability for the three children.

Ceccoli's document reveals that the tests administered as part of the psychiatric and personality assessment reveal "an unstable, inconsistent, age-incongruent representation of the family," and "immature and poorly structured" parental figures. For the children, the father and mother "are ten years old." And in the drawing of the "imaginary family," there are only animals, "a sign of suffering."

The expert report is far from favorable to the couple, while the L'Aquila Civil Court of Appeal is expected to rule by May 15th on the family reunification request submitted by Catherine and Nathan's lawyers. The L'Aquila Juvenile Court has denied this request.
