They had gone up to the roof to take some pictures, but that photo shoot turned into a tragedy. Francesca Romana D'Elia, a 19-year-old model, lost her life after falling several meters from the skylight of an apartment building.

It happened in Rome, in the condominium of the building in Viale dei Quattro Venti, in the Gianicolense area. Rescue was immediate, alerted by the condominiums themselves, but there was nothing to do for the girl. Shocked the photographer who was with her.

The police are investigating the matter and are inclined to the hypothesis of the accident. The photographer is not investigated. He and the 19-year-old, who knew each other, had agreed for a series of shots on the terrace of the condominium where the photographer lives. A storm suddenly swept over the area and they both sought shelter, but the 19-year-old stepped on the glass of the skylight, knocking her off the six-story building.

Dismayed in Campagnano, a town north of Rome where Francesca Romana, daughter of a former model and a photographer, lived with her family.

Even the mayor Alessio Nisi expressed in his name, the Administration, the City Council and all citizens, "the feelings of deepest pain and condolences towards all family members".

“Our closeness goes to parents and family members, in a moment of so serious and incomprehensible pain, which leaves dismayed and unable to accept such an inauspicious and distressing fate. The young Francesca Romana, a splendid girl, belonging to an exemplary family always very active in the social field, will leave a heartbreaking void in the community of Campagnano. In interpreting the sentiment of sincere emotion and closeness of the entire citizenry, city mourning will be proclaimed for the day the funeral will be celebrated ".
