Nicolò Fagioli, the Fiorentina midfielder among the 12 Serie A footballers investigated by the Milan prosecutors in the inquiry into an alleged betting ring on illegal platforms to ask friends and players for loans , allegedly proposed to them to make bank transfers to the account of the Elysium jewellery shop, with the prospect of realising a capital gain with "the purchase and subsequent resale of watches".

This is what emerges from the investigation documents that report the investigations of the judicial police team in charge of the Prosecutor's Office. From the checks , at least 20 people have lent money to Fagioli who would have assured his interlocutors of business of a certain importance . A way of raking in money that, according to the investigators, can be deduced for example from a chat from August three years ago in which he asks Radu Matei Dragușin, Tottenham defender and former Juve player - who does not appear to have been a gambler or under investigation - if he wanted to make "a short-term investment" with him because "I trust you" and other people he knew "with a little money there is no way".

And then he tells him that he has the possibility of buying three watches in the Milanese shop and selling them for 10 thousand euros more, in a month "it would be 20 thousand euros each and we take 10 more", that is 5 thousand each. Fagioli, in addition to the brokers, in particular with Tommaso De Giacomo, one of the 5 protagonists of the system called "Elysium", was in debt with several people, as the chats tell. For example with Stefano Turati, goalkeeper of Monza (who had used his mother's card) or Caleb Okoli, defender of Leicester City (41,500 euros paid to Elysium) or with the Brazilian footballer and former Juve under 23, Lucas Oliveira (all not under investigation).

Finally, in the investigation documents, it appears that Fagioli, before the public prosecutors of Turin, where the investigation was opened and then transferred to Milan, had also spoken about Andrea Pirlo's son, through whom he had met people who were betting. And then, chatting with the referee, now suspended, Pietro Marinoni, in June two years ago, he had said of the young man (not under investigation) that "he is one of us" but then his father "caught him" and "blocked" his accounts until he comes of age.
