The proceeding against the four minors accused of the murder of Fabio Cappai, a 23-year-old worker of Sardinian origin who was stabbed to death in the night between 15 and 16 July in Castel del Rio, near Imola, continues.
For the main defendant, a sixteen year old, also of Sardinian origin , detained in the juvenile prison of Pratello in Bologna on charges of murder and unauthorized carrying of arms, the investigating judge Francesca Salvatore accepted the request of the lawyer Alberto Padovani to abbreviated procedure .
Prosecutor Caterina Sallusti, on the other hand, did not consider contesting the aggravating circumstances linked to futile reasons, as had been requested by the lawyer representing the family, Daniela Mascherini.
For the other three defendants, to date accused of anomalous conspiracy to murder, the lawyers reserve the request for probation.
The next hearing is set for January 16.
