The Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered two further consultations on Andrea Sempio , the only suspect in the new inquiry into the murder of Chiara Poggi on 13 August 2007 in Garlasco (Pavia).

Cristina Cattaneo was entrusted with the expert assessment of the size of Sempio's foot and its compatibility with the imprint found in the villa on Via Pascoli, left by a polka-dotted shoe.

Geneticist Carlo Previderè will instead have to provide answers about Sempio's DNA : according to Denise Albani, also a geneticist, it would be compatible with what was found under Chiara's fingernails, but there are still some aspects that need to be clarified.

The Prosecutor's Office had already appointed Roberto Catanesi to provide expert opinions on the suspect's mental capacity and alleged danger to society. These three additional expert opinions were ordered after the investigation was closed, as notified to Sempio and his lawyers on May 7th.

The Prosecutor's Office has indicated September 28 as the deadline for preliminary investigations.
