Ex-policeman shoots his wife and kills himself: son goes home and finds the bodies

Tragedy in Gallarate in the Varese area: a 70-year-old couple, husband and wife, were found dead in their home last night by their son. It would be a murder suicide.

According to initial information, Roberto Iuliano, a former policeman, murdered his wife Nadia Gentili with a legally possessed gun. He then took his own life with the same weapon. And the death dates back to a few days ago. The carabinieri are on site, coordinated by prosecutor Susanna Molteni.

The son, unable to contact his parents, went home and found them dead.

The spouses had been married for over 50 years, no history of violence, no disagreements. The neighbors speak of a close-knit couple, no particular arguments, kind and reserved people. The military will interview family members and acquaintances to try to ascertain what armed Iuliano's hand. The couple's clinical situation is also being examined to ascertain whether one of them suffered from a particular pathology.
