Earthquake off the coast of the Marche region, magnitude 3.9

After yesterday's seismic swarm in the Campi Flegrei area , today a magnitude 3.9 shock was recorded off the coast of Ancona, at a depth of 6 km.

The earthquake was also felt in the city, with furniture shaking and chandeliers swaying slightly, but no damage to people or things was reported.

The epicenter 30 kilometers east of Fano and 37 kilometers north-east of Ancona, more or less in the area where, on 9 November 2022, two strong tremors (5.5 and 5.2) occurred which caused damage and displaced people among Ancona and the Pesaro area.
