In the investigation by the Milan DDA into the gang of alleged cyber-spies, the archive of former police officer Carmine Gallo, believed to be a leading figure in the group at the centre of the investigation, was seized.
From what we understand, it seems to be a mainly paper archive, much of which is kept in a garage.
According to the hypotheses of the investigators, who are looking into alleged illegal dossiers that also involved leading figures of the institutions, including the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and the President of the Senate Ignazio La Russa , there are a total of over 800 thousand people who could have been spied on with abusive access to the databases.
Another suspect, Nunzio Samuele Calamucci, as emerged from the documents, said that he had "at his disposal" a "hard disk containing eight hundred thousand SDIs", that is, information acquired from the police database.
