Antonio Capasso, the fiancé of Dora Lagreca , the 30-year-old originally from Montesano sulla Maripendenza (Salerno) who died in Potenza in the night between Friday and Saturday last night after falling from a balcony on the fourth floor of a building in via Di Giura, in the Parco Aurora district.

The woman, who fell from over twelve meters high, was rescued by 118 staff, but died two hours after arriving in the emergency room of the San Carlo hospital.

She was in the home of her boyfriend, with whom she had spent the evening and had posted several stories on Instagram in which she appeared with her partner around clubs. Then the two had had a heated argument.

The man told the carabinieri that at a certain point Lagreca would open one of the two windows of the attic, threatening to end it by throwing himself off the terrace. Then she would climb over the railing and he would try to stop her but could not.

It was then Capasso himself who called for help.

"It seems very strange to us that Dora could have made an extreme gesture, deciding to get it over with," said Giuseppe Rinaldi, mayor of Montesano sulla Maripendenza, the 29-year-old who died the night between Friday and Saturday in Potenza, at her boyfriend's house after a fall from window.

According to the mayor, "it is impossible that this could have happened. Even the family lawyer agrees, and so does the community. Those who know her well know that Dora was a sunny, cheerful girl, full of life and plans. Friday, before going to her boyfriend, she was at her family's house, she talked to an aunt about a cousin's wedding next week. Nothing foreshadowed this tragedy. I knew Dora and her family personally, we are also linked by kinship, we live not far away. The suicide hypothesis is not convincing. What may have happened we do not know, but we hope that we can shed light as soon as possible on what really happened. Living in this uncertainty is a double torment for the family ".

To clarify the causes of death, an autopsy will be performed on the young woman's body on Tuesday.
