Daniel Maldini suffered minor injuries in a two-car accident at dawn this morning in Milan.

After the match in Bergamo against Atalanta , which was decided by his goal from a penalty, the rossoblù striker decided to spend the evening in Milan.

The accident occurred at dawn, around 5:15 a.m., on Via Caracciolo, a northern outskirts of the Lombardy capital. Six people were involved, all with minor injuries: in addition to Daniel Maldini, who turns 25 in a month, three men aged 19, 20, and 21, and two women aged 20 and 22. The striker was in the car with three friends: a woman and two men.

Three ambulances and a medical car responded to the scene; one of the injured was treated on the spot, while the other five were taken to hospital.

The Cagliari footballer was transported with a code blue to Fatebenefratelli for checks but the doctors discharged him shortly afterwards: he is well and at home .

Local police conducted investigations to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. This is the reconstruction of the Milanese officers' account: "Maldini was driving a Porsche Carrera 4 and allegedly entered Via Caracciolo from Via Tolentino without yielding to a Golf that was heading toward Via Mac Mahon. The front of the Cagliari footballer's car thus struck the other car, which then crashed into a Mercedes parked on Via Caracciolo."
