Crossing at crosswalk with one-year-old children, hit-and-run truck hits and kills her

A 34-year-old Peruvian woman, who was crossing the street with her one-year-old twins, was killed after being hit by a truck on Via Serra in Milan. The driver fled and is now being sought by local police officers.

The children and the grandmother who were with her were unharmed. The accident occurred at a traffic light intersection and, according to an initial reconstruction, the truck, turning right, hit the woman who was crossing on the green light.

The children were in a double stroller that was not hit by the heavy vehicle. The 118 rescuers, who immediately intervened on the scene, could not do anything to save the woman's life.
