The judicial affair of Giovanni Toti has finally come to an end. Today, seven months after his house arrest, the former governor of Liguria has pleaded guilty to two years and three months, converted into 1,620 hours of community service .

The preliminary investigations judge Matteo Buffoni ratified the agreement between Toti, accused of corruption and illicit financing , and the Prosecutor's Office.

The socially useful work will be carried out at the Italian League for the Fight against Cancer in Genoa : the former regional president will take care of communications and answer the telephone to manage patient bookings .

He will also be able to work more than 15 hours a week, having received a waiver, and not only in the Ligurian capital but throughout the Italian territory. In addition to Toti's position , that of the former president of the Western Ligurian Sea port system authority Paolo Emilio Signorini (three years, five months and 28 days) and of the port entrepreneur Aldo Spinelli (three years and three months) has also been closed .
