The one month old baby who arrived lifeless this morning in the emergency room of the Sant'Elia hospital in Caltanissetta probably died suffocated by his regurgitation.

This is what emerges from a first inspection of the little body, on which there are no signs of violence.

At the moment it is not known whether the prosecutor on duty, Dario Bonanno, will order the autopsy. By the time the baby arrived in the emergency room, the heart had already been in cardiac arrest for some time. The doctors and the resuscitator tried CPR for over half an hour, but they couldn't.

Great emotion in the emergency department, the head physician Salvatore Amico had the baby baptized by the hospital chaplain, Father Giuseppe Anfuso.

The baby had turned one month old on 10 November.
