"I heard a roar, like an earthquake, then I found myself among lifeless bodies, with blood, injured people."

These are the dramatic moments of the accident of the bus that crashed from an overpass in Mestre , told by one of the survivors, a 39-year-old Ukrainian tourist, who lost his father in the crash.

"Now - says the man, Alexander Lomakyn - I just want to know what happened, I want to know who is responsible." Alexander, admitted to the Angelo hospital in Mestre, suffered crushing injuries, because in the 10 meter flight of the bus from the overpass everything ended up on him, the other passengers, the luggage.

"I tried to defend myself, holding my head in my hands - he explains - but the impact was very strong."

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Venice takes a stand after some reconstructions of the incident spoke of a sort of "hole" in the guardrail.
"The statements I have read are unacceptable," says municipal transport councilor Renato Boraso. He adds: «The bus did not fall because there was a one and a half meter hole in the guardrail. That hole is a security, service opening foreseen in the original design of the building."

«The bus - continues Boraso - fell 50 meters after the gap, after having skidded over the guardrail, without any sign of braking or counter-steering. O Do we want to say that without the "hole", the barrier would have held a 13-ton vehicle in motion?
