There are now six people under investigation for the railway tragedy in Brandizzo (Turin) in which 5 workers died when they were hit by a train while working on the tracks on the night between 30 and 31 August.

Also included in the register were 4 managers (top and middle managers) of Sigifer, the Borgo Vercelli company for which the victims worked. For them too, the hypothesis of crime is multiple manslaughter and a train disaster.

Until today, the only two suspects were the RFI technician, Antonio Massa, 48 years old, and the Sigifer team leader, Andrea Girardin Gibin, 53 years old.

Tomorrow the assessment work will begin, ordered by the Ivrea prosecutor's office, on the tablets of the drivers of the train that hit the 5 workers, on the black boxes of the convoy and on the mobile phones of two victims found at the scene of the tragedy still partially functioning.

The investigation, which will last a maximum of 60 days, should serve to provide further information on the communications between the control room and the construction site in the minutes preceding the arrival of the train in Brandizzo.
