A 25-year-old boy, originally from Gambia, was arrested for raping a girl in the night between Saturday and Sunday, in the heart of the university area of Bologna.

When the police arrived on the scene, the rape was still in progress: the officers immediately stopped it and helped the victim. But there was another accomplice, who managed to escape.

The alarm was given to 113 by two passers-by, an engaged couple who had seen the girl in a state of confusion - she couldn't stand up - together with two men who were molesting her. After the phone call, several patrols immediately arrived and the search began.

Searching the alleys of the university area, the officers then tracked down the victim and stopped one of the attackers - the 25-year-old Gambian -, while the other man had walked away. The girl was entrusted to the 118 health workers, who accompanied her to the hospital , where she was subjected to the Eva protocol, for victims of sexual violence. The investigations continue.

Just over a month ago, there was an attempted violence against a thirty-year-old, which also took place in the university area, in via delle Belle Arti. The woman was thrown to the ground and attacked by two 15-year-old Tunisian guests of the community for foreign minors of Villa Aldini. She was rescued by a passerby and the two had fled. A few days later the 15-year-olds were arrested by the police also thanks to a photo taken by a witness to the violence.
