Cosimo Damiano Bologna did not make it, the 50-year-old beaten savagely by the stalker of a friend in Canosa di Puglia, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani.

The man died after two weeks of agony.

On the night between 13 and 14 November, Bologna was with a friend in a bar in the center of the Apulian town when the attacker began to insult and humiliate the woman. Bologna intervened in his defense and the dispute escalated. The 58-year-old allegedly hit him with a fist and an elbow in the face causing him to fall and violently hit his head on the asphalt, and then flee by car.

The victim was rescued from 118 and admitted to intensive care with a reserved prognosis. Now the news of his death.

The 58-year-old, identified thanks to surveillance cameras, was arrested a few days later for stalking and serious injuries. Against him, after the death of Bologna, the most serious crime of manslaughter is now hypothesized.
