Avalanche overwhelms a group of alpine guides in Val d'Aosta, three are missing
It happened in Val di Rhemes, in the Tsanteleina areaThree are missing following an avalanche that broke off in the early afternoon of today in the Punta Goletta area, in Val di Rhemes (Aosta). It is about three mountain guides engaged in a course. The person in charge of the consortium, 49-year-old Matteo Giglio, raised the alarm, who saved himself and descended to the valley.
Difficult rescue operations due to bad weather which does not allow the helicopter to reach altitude.
The chances of finding the three students overwhelmed by the snow alive are very low.
