He tried to marry an Italian citizen to regularize his documents but was discovered and expelled. It happened in Treviso, where the police commissioner Manuela De Bernardin, ordered the escort to the border of a 41-year-old Kosovar citizen, who was trying to organize the wedding in Italy.
Unfortunately, the man, who had already been expelled from Switzerland in February 2022, had a ban on re-entering the Schengen area valid until 2025, a measure that the man had tried to evade several times in the past: the last time in February, when he was rejected by the police at the maritime border of Bari. A few days ago, the man had re-entered Italy through the Italian-Slovenian border, going to the Marca Trevigiana and trying to marry an Italian citizen. Suspicion was aroused by "unusual" requests that the woman had made to the operators of the Municipality of Treviso, reported to the Local Police.
The Immigration Office of the Police Headquarters has thus confirmed the attempt to regularize his position. So yesterday morning, before the man went to the Town Hall for the marriage banns, he was intercepted, accompanied to the Police Headquarters and then taken in charge by the Police who boarded him on a flight to Pristina.
