Attacked with sticks during an argument, the 18-year-old dies after two days of agony
A 20-year-old man was stopped by the police, the victim is an asylum seeker
An 18-year-old asylum seeker from Gambia died this morning , attacked on the evening of April 30th in the center of Canelli, in the Asti area , under the eyes of passers-by.
The young man was a guest of the Cassinasco CAS. Immediately transported to Alessandria hospital, there was nothing that could be done for him: he died after two days of agony in the intensive care unit .
According to initial reports, he was attacked by a group of other asylum seekers of Pakistani origin, armed with sticks and chains.
According to what we understand , the scene was filmed by surveillance cameras in the area and the images are now being examined by investigators.
One of the attackers, a 20-year-old Pakistani, was stopped by the police and is now accused of murder. According to initial findings, the dispute broke out for trivial reasons.
