Controversy following what happened yesterday in Milan, during the April 25th procession , with the protest against the Jewish Brigade , which was forced to leave the demonstration escorted by the police.
«The ANPI is behind all this, it organized all this because from the beginning it had said “No to Jews at the demonstration”» , declared the president of the Jewish community of Milan, Walker Meghnagi .
The Partisans' Association responded promptly: "We read the delusional statements of the President of the Jewish community of Milan, Walker Meghnagi, who accuses us of fomenting anti-Semitism. These statements are provocative, false, and deliberately exploitative. This gentleman wants to increase tensions and create new divisions. Obviously, we will see him in court," responded Gianfranco Pagliarulo , national president of the National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI), and Primo Minelli , president of the provincial branch of the Milan branch of the National Association of Italian Partisans (ANPI).
The ANPI also commented on the air pistol shots fired at several protesters during the Rome march. "Like the partisans who refused to be intimidated by attacks, raids, and reprisals, we will continue our fight for their memory and to preserve their legacy: the democratic Republic founded on work and its Constitution, against all forms of Nazism, fascism, authoritarianism, and supremacism, for Peace, Freedom, and Equality," stated the ANPI Rome provincial committee.
