According to the indictment, he abused a student in an ambulance taking advantage of her drunkenness. The girl had gotten sick after drinking too much at a party.

For this reason, a volunteer paramedic, the 36-year-old Gaetano Notaro, ended up under house arrest for aggravated sexual violence.

The facts date back to the night of Halloween, between October 31st and last November 1st.

The violence allegedly took place in the first aid ambulance which was located outside the Palagiaccio di Bari, where the party was organized.

The victim, who according to investigators was also sedated, was held in an ambulance for over two hours.

The arrested, president of the association "SS Maria del Pozzo" of Capurso and with previous complaints for stalking and sexual violence, allegedly "abused his function and the handicapped defense of the woman" at the time of the fact, as "drunk and in state of semi unconsciousness - reads the arrest order - probably induced to drowsiness through the administration of drops "and thus would have" forced her to undergo sexual acts.

The victim decided to report the fact about two weeks after the fact, turning to an anti-violence center, to the Policlinico di Bari and then to the police. He provided the investigators with an "extremely detailed and coherent" story, writes the investigating judge Rosa Caramia, who considers the student's statements "reliable" and "credible".

The girl, writes the judge, "described the details of the abuse suffered, clearly describing every detail, even the most humiliating" and there are no elements to "assume that they are the result of slanderous intent".
