A real "family consortium" the one vanquished by the staff of the Assisi police station and which carried out precautionary measures against eight people held responsible, for various reasons, for criminal association aimed at committing home thefts between the areas of Assisi, Arezzo and Siena.

There are a total of 16 suspects, 12 of whom are beneficiaries of citizenship income. Pre-trial detention in prison was ordered for two people, house arrest for five others and for one the obligation to report to the judicial police.

The members of the alleged gang are defined by the police as "of considerable criminal profile", "brutal and unscrupulous", "real professionals of the crime". Among them also six "shrewd" and "unscrupulous" women, aged between 22 and 40 years.

The investigations, coordinated by the prosecutor of the Republic of Perugia, allowed to reconstruct the structure of the alleged criminal association, defined as well structured and organized.

The suspects were all already investigated in the past for crimes against property.

THE RECONSTRUCTION - The gang had a "well defined" organizational structure in its tasks, with defined logistical bases and "capable, given the recognized criminal profile, of taking turns in roles and facing crisis situations, making use of the contribution of all the participants".

The investigation by the Assisi police station was conducted above all by resorting to more traditional investigative methods, such as observation services, stalking, stalking and resorting to information assets.

Over the course of more than a year, the policemen have managed to arrest some of the alleged members of the gang in the act of crime, at other times they have managed to recover the stolen goods and return it to the owners.

Criminals often fled in specially selected large-displacement cars, facing pursuits and blocking attempts by the police. Once discovered, the cars were quickly changed and fake license plates were also used.

The houses where to carry out the "blows" were instead chosen as "sufficiently" isolated, reachable through dirt roads with poor systems of surveillance and control of the habits of the owners. During the blows, the phones were purposely turned off so as not to give any clues to their presence.

Two logistical bases were also identified during the investigation, on the outskirts of Assisi, where criminals met before committing the thefts.
