A 12-year-old girl on holiday with her parents in a tourist village in Torre dell'Orso, Melendugno marina (Lecce), was allegedly raped by one of the entertainers of the accommodation facility. The minor confided in her mother and aunt, reporting that she had suffered abuse.

The events date back to Wednesday and the family members have filed a complaint with the police . The Lecce Prosecutor's Office is investigating the episode. The minor was visited at the Santa Caterina Novella hospital in Galatina, where the pink code was activated, an access path to the emergency room reserved for victims of violence, primarily women and children.

The little girl is part of a family of tourists from Lazio who have been on holiday for a few days in the summer village on the Salento coast.

The minor's story took place in protected mode and will now be subject to checks. Meanwhile, on the orders of the magistrate on duty, investigations were carried out on the 12-year-old's clothing. Videos from the village's video surveillance system were also acquired. The animator, a 17-year-old boy, has also already been interviewed by the investigators .
