She trusted a young man she'd met on a regular night out at a bar, and he lured her into a trap. Thus, a 21-year-old German Erasmus student was attacked and raped last night in Milan by two men. A horrific incident unfolded late at night on Via Giacosa, in the heart of Milan's multi-ethnic neighborhood. The news only emerged that evening, while the young woman remains hospitalized at the Mangiagalli Clinic, which specializes in this type of crime.

The Carabinieri are investigating the case and trying to piece together the story, which is still partly unclear given that she doesn't speak Italian and has not yet been interviewed for health reasons. According to what has been learned, it appears the girl had met a young man in a bar, whether in the Via Padova area or elsewhere is unknown. She then went on a date with him at the end of the evening, ending up in a secluded area , perhaps on the edge of Parco Trotter.

A second young man was reportedly present, in concert with the first . The two, reportedly described as non-EU citizens, attacked and raped her . She eventually called for help from two young men, an Italian man and woman in Milan for tourism, who were returning to their hotel. They helped her and raised the alarm. Emergency services arrived on the scene and transported her to the Policlinico hospital, which was in a yellow code for some bruises and contusions, and then to the Mangiagalli clinic. It is currently unclear what the two saw first, as the Carabinieri report no witnesses, while rumors suggest other people were seen at the scene. This is not the first time that Parco Trotter and the Via Padova area have been the scene of sexual assaults.
