Pope Leo XIV has resumed work after undergoing surgery to remove a lung nodule two days ago at Gemelli Hospital in Rome.
This was reported by the director of the Vatican press office, Matteo Bruni, speaking to journalists.
The Pope spent a good night, got up, and had breakfast. He then concelebrated Mass on the tenth floor of the Gemelli Hospital.
This morning, the medical bulletin states, the Holy Father "undertook routine checks, which were normal. The chest X-ray showed good recovery of the operated lung. He performed his daily activities independently. The physiotherapy session included complete motor activities. Overall, the post-operative recovery is proceeding normally."
