The "Billboards" operation of the Catanzaro financial police, the nucleus of the economic-financial police, also affects Sardinia, which made it possible to seize 1,200 advertising spaces and brought an entrepreneur residing in the Milan area under house arrest. Together with the man, five other suspects were banned from carrying out business activities for one year.

The blitz took place on the island – a 75-year-old from Muravera got into trouble – but also in Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto and Emilia Romagna. The seizure has a value of over 800 thousand euros.

The investigations made it possible to hypothesize the existence of serious facts of fraudulent bankruptcy due to distraction following the bankruptcy in 2018 of a company, first based in Milan and, since 2015, put into liquidation and transferred to the office of a professional in the province of Catanzaro .

According to the accusation hypothesis, the suspects would have been responsible for a precise "criminal design" aimed at stripping the bankruptcy's assets through apparent "sales" of assets during the liquidation and pre-liquidation phase (only partially followed by adequate consideration) , in favor of three legal entities, closely connected to each other, operating in the commercial sector of advertising and attributable to the same ownership structures. The hypothesized bankruptcy events caused enormous damage to the creditors of the bankrupt company, which, at the time of liquidation, had enormous debts, amounting to around 8.5 million euros, mainly to the Treasury.
