Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an interview with Sky News that he was ready for a ceasefire agreement with Russia even without the immediate return of the territories occupied by Moscow in the conflict, but on condition that Ukraine has the umbrella of NATO.

"If we want to end the hot phase of the war, we must take the territory of Ukraine that we control under the NATO umbrella," he said.

He then added: "We need to do it quickly. The (occupied) territory of Ukraine can then be brought back diplomatically," he added.
