There are three Sardinians, with their respective families "affected by the flood in Valencia". The update comes from the Shardana emigrants' club in the Iberian city, through the president Pierluigi Melis, who is in direct contact with two of the interested parties: " It is very difficult to reach them. The villages where they live can only be reached on foot and every day the authorities increasingly reduce access to volunteers", is the warning.

Aid can be left at the collection point at the Valencia Football Club ground, known as Mestalla.

"To date, these people do not lack food (abundant and well distributed by volunteers)," they continue from the club, "although it cannot be ruled out that in a few weeks, if the wave of generosity were to diminish, perhaps the food would be needed."

For now , what is most needed are brooms, spades, cleaning and hygiene products, bleach, gloves and masks.

"As a club we are not authorized to distribute aid," it is underlined, "we ask you to move through official channels if necessary."
