They were preparing an attack on the 4th of July , the US national holiday, but a "hero citizen" reported their suspicious movements allowing the police to intervene.

It happened in Richmond, Virginia , where law enforcement officers arrested two people , seizing two assault rifles, a pistol and hundreds of ammunition inside a house, where the RMS were kept "in plain sight". .

As mentioned, the criminal plan was blown after a citizen overheard a conversation about a planned attack during the Independence Day celebrations in Richmond and immediately denounced it.

The police thus entered into action, together with the FBI, which tracked down and stopped the two suspects.

The two ended up in jail on charges, at the moment, of illegal possession of firearms .

The news of the thwarted attack comes within hours of the massacre committed at the July 4th parade on the outskirts of Chicago in which seven people were killed .
