The United States, Iran, and a group of regional mediators are discussing the terms of a potential 45-day ceasefire that could lead to a definitive end to the war in the Middle East , Axios reports, citing sources familiar with the negotiations.

While awaiting confirmation of the deal—often announced but just as often denied—the raids continue. The Iranian news agency Fars, picked up by international media, reports that US and Israeli forces bombed two residential units in the town of Qaleh Mir, in Baharestan County, killing at least 13 people . The county is a densely populated area in Tehran Province. The governor of Baharestan told Fars that operations to clear the rubble and search for anyone trapped under it are still ongoing.

"Last night, six children were martyred in Tehran province," wrote Fars, which is close to the Revolutionary Guards. "As a result of last night's American-Zionist attacks in Tehran province, a group of civilians, including four girls and two boys under the age of 10 , were unfortunately killed," the agency stated.
