China is developing nuclear weapons much faster than the United States and this is a "short-term problem".

This was stated by the head of the US strategic command, Admiral Charles Richard , who oversees Washington's nuclear weapons program.

"The ship is slowly sinking because Beijing is deploying its military capabilities faster than we are," added Admiral Richard, according to CNN.
