The conflict continues in Ukraine, where the Russian army has launched a new offensive .
Moscow's troops fired dozens of missiles at various targets , with anti-aircraft sirens sounding in the capital Kiev and in the regions of Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad.
The new attacks come a few hours after the US announcement of new military aid to the Ukrainian army.
Aid also arriving in Kiev from the European Union, which has pledged to provide support and assistance for a total of 18 billion euros.
“We are very satisfied, we managed to reach decisions and we showed European unity. Starting with Ukraine: with 18 billion in aid we show that the EU respects its commitments», said the president of the European Council Charles Michel.
